The Acadiana Legal Services organization has offices in Lafayette, Alexandria, and Lake Charles. Set up an appointment with one of the advisers there by telephone or e-mail, or apply online.

Southeast Louisiana Legal Services provides free legal aid for half the state, and you can apply  on line or find the closest office here.

If you live in northern Louisiana, contact the offices of Legal Services of North Louisiana, or apply on line after checking your eligibility here.

Check the website of The Pro Bono Project in New Orleans if you need help and don’t have the money to pay for a lawyer. You’ll need to telephone or e-mail them to request an application first. You can find that information, as well as details about the services they provide, on the website here.
